Press Officer Training

We offer a press officer 101 training to individuals working at non-profit organisations, campaigners and others in the movement. This training has been distilled from the intensive, multi-day Press Officer school. It offers a chance for people to develop the skills they need to navigate the world of news, pitching, and quote writing. Who is this training for?

This training is most suited to grassroots campaigners or organisations who don’t have a dedicated press team and are looking to bring publicity to their campaign or action, whether on a voluntary basis or not.

It is also suitable for people in more entry level roles within press teams, or who are looking to broaden and develop the professional skills needed for a press role. 

What does the programme involve?

The training takes place online over 3 hours, with 2 short breaks.

Fees

This programme is free for grassroots and community organisations, and we operate a sliding scale price for other organisations based on size and income. We normally need around 4-6 weeks to organise a training.
