Online Facilitation 101 | Late Summer

We are in a moment that requires us to work out best ways that we still can come together, share ideas, learn from each other and make the best of the challenges we’re facing. Holding space online, be that for a training or facilitating meetings is one way of doing this, but how can we make these spaces fun, engaging, productive and safe? This webinar will give you a crash course in some of the tools you can use, how to prepare for a session and some ideas for how to make it engaging. Please note that this is the same training from Series 1.

Taking Care of Ourselves during Covid-19

In this workshop, we will explore the impact that Covid-19 has had on our wellbeing and mental health, both as individuals and in our communities. We will look at the ways in which coronavirus is contributing to activist burnout, and the unique challenges we face looking after ourselves in these times. This is all in the hope that we leave with clearer knowledge and plans about how we can take care of ourselves while organising during the pandemic. Facilitated by Yas Necati.
Introduction to Fundraising
Tuesday 30th June, 4.30-6pm
Do you have a specific project or activity you want to develop? Want to learn more about different funding sources? Need help on how to write proposals or funding application forms? This workshop is for anyone who is interested in fundraising but has no or little experience of doing this. You will learn about different types and sources of funding available, the key stages in making applications for funding, and elementary skills required for writing proposals. No prior knowledge required, and there will be references throughout as to how Covid-19 is impacting fundraising during this time. Facilitated by Laura Drane

Hosting an Online Barnstorm to Kickstart your Campaign
Tuesday 7th July, 4:30-6:00pm
At a time where large meetings, events and rallies are off limits, the need to recruit and on-board volunteers online has never been more stark. This webinar will draw on international best practice to give you a crash course in planning and delivering effective online barnstorms or activist calls, combining the overarching strategy with the nuts and bolts of how to make it happen.
