Hub
At the Movement Building Hub we build the power of social movements, by strengthening their alignment, strategic capacity and organising skills.
At its simplest, we do two things:
The Movement Building Hub has three strategic priorities:
We use a combination of short and mulit-day trainings, mentoring and convenings open to a range of groups, organisations and leaders from across movements, with a focus on the climate, housing and migrant justice movements. We mix cutting edge tools with an experiential learning approach, while fostering strong relational cultures. We provide hands-on responsive support in ‘moments of the whirlwind’ and strengthen movement foundations for the future.
Alongside our core offer we also seed and grow long-term partnerships and projects to tackle politically pressing problems and build movement capacity where it matters most. Our newest is our Worker-led Transition project, a multi-year partnership with the TUC that supports workers in high-carbon industries to design and win transition plans in their workplaces, while fostering strategic collaboration between the climate movement and trade union movement.
If you’d like to read the Movement Building Hub’s strategy in full, chat about how we might work together (including in a consultancy capacity), or just connect, then get in touch with the Hub Director, Andrew. We’re always keen to talk. You can read more about our individual programmes and trainings below.
